I can't be more nervous

I'm finally getting it done. It's been years but it's the right thing to do at this point. Interestingly, no man my age will discuss the topic with me. One of my colleagues has just started a new franchise with another woman, in what he alleges is a complete set up. Even he won't consider the option.

Something about a vasectomy is taboo amongst men. I think we're afraid of it's affects on our manhood. Let's face it, at this point in my life I'm damn sure of where I stand on that topic and it isn't as an alpha male. I've got no intentions of populating the Earth with my own private, home grown army.

A little holiday gift

This year's been hectic.

I realize the previous post looked like a countdown was going to take place but I didn't have time to upload the content onto this here blog. Instead, all of it was loaded onto my facebook account. As few people read this blog it made more sense at the time anyways.

We recently had our directors and SVPs meet everyone in what was nothing like the above comic. Yet, I couldn't help but feel like a part of what is found above was present. It makes sense when you restructure that people lose their jobs. I can see how the intention isn't there to actually fire someone, but the need for it is present.

Anywho, I moved into a better place now so I should be able to produce again. However, with the revolution taking place as mentionned above I don't know what time can be allocated to humor.

38 days left. Movies to watch during Halloween: Hour of the Wolf

Hour of the Wolf (1968)
This is Ingmar Bergman's only dip into the the gothic horror genre and he delivers some seriously creepy imagery. The film tells the story of a couple who have retreated to their cottage. There, the husband, a painter, begins to confess to his pregnant wife different memories. Reality begins to slowly peel away as another family invites the couple over to their castle home not to far away.

The image of the boy slowly going below the water surface is one of the creepiest images I've seen and a particular point towards the end gave me goosebumps. There is a certain vulnerability when a woman is pregnant and the only person to care for her is a man having a breakdown. The whole arc of fear can be seen in Liv Ullmann's eyes. She is the witness to the most terrifying thing: the psychological breakdown of a protector.

This is a real treat for a gothic horror movie as the film is incredibly well shot and framed which is essential in a gothic horror film. It's not an easy film to access however.
